Check out these two videos of “Crush On You”. I’m a fan of both of these versions, and I’ll admit that I heard the Nero version before The Jets version. Notice the subtle Michael Jackson dance mannerisms by the Jets in the video. I see a lot of Thriller in the movement.

I saw this album in my music library so I queued it up. Most metalcore I can do without. The guitar riffs throughout the album are pretty tight and vocals aren’t too high pictched and annoying. A lot of metalcore nowadays is filled with breakdowns and covered with terrible lyrics. That being said it’s kind of a relief to find some actual heavy hitting metalcore.

I’ve never been really into James Taylor. To be honest I had really never listened to him other than his “Fire and Rain” and “Sweet Baby James” tracks. This album is a nice change in my musical diet from the fast and furious rock I’m accustomed to. It just so…smooth. James Taylor’s comforting vocals and finger picked guitar are a perfect combination for a relaxing winter evening. I highly recommend it.
